Sunflower flour is made from sunflower seeds by removing the oil from the seeds and finely grinding the pomace to produce sunflower flour. This process is so gentle that the flour retains the necessary nutrients and is not deprived of the beneficial substances. These include a large amount of protein (there is a whopping 45 grams of protein in 100 grams of flour), which is even higher than that of meat and dairy products. It also contains a significant amount of fibre, minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, as well as B-complex vitamins and vitamin E. The flour is naturally gluten-free and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. You can use it in cooking to thicken soups and sauces, but also in baking bread, cakes, cookies, etc. If you need a quick breakfast with a lot of protein, don't be afraid to add flour to yoghurt, porridge or even puddings.
